Oh man! I super want to make this but I have one question. Can I use previously frozen peppers? Because I get hot peppers every week from my CSA and save them in the freezer to make hot sauce with.

just made this, and no lie it is insanely good. we may have used 3x the habaneros than the vid called for and my colon MAY be giving me the silent treatment now, but got dang if it aint worth it for a brad video.

One way to avoid burping is to leave off the rubber gasket and close the lid clasp. Also those type of bowls are more for mixing muffin batter and not great for pouring liquids. Yeah, don't want to over mix, it will cook it, won't still be alive then. Yep, saw the woozy bottles online the other day, got it. Thanks. Now let's see him try it with food after fermenting in the fridge aged ! Hah!

Marieke Russchen it's Super easy! I do it at the end of every summer with the jalapeños from my garden. I also add in sliced carrots and they get nice and spicy and are great with the jalapeño on nachos. If you search online you should find several easy recipes, the one I use is from AllRecipes I think. I usually get about 10-15 pint sized mason jars that last me until the next summer harvest.

I grow my own peppers and make my own sauce a lot. One of my tricks is to use plastic 2 liter bottles. you can squeeze the bottle before you close it. This keeps all your peppers submerged and gives you a few extra days in between needing to burp them. The gasses just fill the extra space in the bottle.
