It was awesome seeing the crowd in Germany cheer for literally any cool or big play that happened from either team. GREAT support overseas for the NFL!
Ohhh trust me I wouldn’t say that the fans were neutral as your comment makes it seem there is tons of Seahawks and bucs fans in Germany and it showed in the stadium as you saw massive boos when either side was on offense😂😂😂
This might just be the game that Tampa needed. They actually looked energized and ready to play, as if they had something to prove. And yes, this crowd was pretty awesome.
As a long-time HAWK Fan from Washington State whose lineage is half German I completely Agree. I think of it often and smile. It was just very SPECIAL & precious ~ affected my Heart. 💚 💙 The Football was some of the BEST in that muddy field too. Every Player Every Fan THANK YOU ALL 🏈 💚💙💚🏈 🎶💚🎼💙🎵💚🏈 🥰
@Doktor Bundy Munich was the first port of call for the NFL. There has been a cooperation between the NFL and the Soccer Club FC Bayern Munich on international cooperation since 2018.
Omg me as a German, it was pure goosebumps when the crowd was singing country roads, was one the most fascinating moments in my sports watching history, Munich was stunning
Buc fan here . What a Sunday morning this was ! A huge success . Not only did my team get the victory but it was a great game ! Those German fans were awesome . Yes it was a huge win for the NFL too !
@Mark Mac As long as we win the Division , then another Super Bowl can be up for grabs . The Bucs Offense seem to be waking up and new stars are arising . Would love to see the GOAT pass the torch with another ring on his finger
@John Titor 😂😂😂 A few good points. Well just because its just a game doesn't mean it's stupid and pointless. People leave their families for drugs, alcohol, video games, football , and soccer. - a variety of reasons. Doesn't mean it's not a game. Once again the players who you claim I insult repeatedly remind people like you that it's just a game. I don't think that this is a hard concept ro grasp
@oleander 19 That's like telling me and my classmates that ufc is 'just a sport'. What if I said soccer was stupid and pointless. I mean, all you're doing is running up and down a 100 metre pitch and kicking a ball for 90 minutes. Its damn insulting to the athletes that leave their families to pky their craft and make a living playing the sport they love. Its a lifestyle man.
Our brand of football is crazy huge in Germany. Their domestic leagues (GFL and GFL 2) consistently rank at the top in terms of player development and half the European League of Football is made up of German based clubs. Idk why people are so surprised. I expected a huge turnout and an electric atmosphere, and this didn't disappoint. Making my ancestors proud.
@Marrico Gordon you should experience sitting in on a game at the Seahawks' stadium... it's very loud, loud, loud. I live about 6 blocks from the stadium and can hear the crowd, during every game, with all my windows closed; and, I only have a few windows in my apartment that face away from the stadium.
@DARTH PP exactly.. but it's near impossible because they were there to watch a gamez not their team, so the atmosphere realistically couldn't be the same
It makes me think of my first time seeing an NFL football field in person (1992 AFC Championship, Bills v. Broncos). Seeing those lines on the field, with the painted endzones, the logo in the middle of the field. When you first walk in to the stadium and see that it's like a fever dream. Seeing it in person is so much different than watching on TV.
Amazing, amazing, amazing crowd. My goal is to see my Buffalo Bills who have tormented me for 30+ years play in every NFL stadium. Allians just made the list. Competitively, I don't like the Bills going overseas, but I hope they play in Germany some day so I can go join this crowd and show them how to break a few tables.
@Smido83 it was a great crowd, because it was a neutral game. For the first game on German ground, with fans from both teams and also neutral fans, it was definitely a good crowd.
The MOST Electrifying crowd of the season!!! It was exciting to watch and when they started singing "Country Roads"...Being a Bucs Fan from West Virginia, That Was AWESOME!!! Geno Smith Knows ALL About Country Roads from his time at WVU!!! LET'S GOOOOOO
So happy to be a part of this historic game! I got goosebumps when everyone was singing "country roads". This was the best day of my life! Thanks munich!
I was in the stadium and it was awesome!! It's great to see how sport unites us! We need more events like this. Singing country roads together gave me goosebumps. It was a unique event full of respect, friendship and good mood! God bless America, God bless Germany. I am looking forward to next year!
Glad you enjoyed the game, it was awesome to see such a great crowd. We appreciate your positivity! Bucs fan here, so far this has been the best game of the year!
@Yashiro Cope and seethe, even the biggest sporting even of the whole USA will not even be close to any major game of football. And let me tell you, as a football player of 20 years i had zero troubles when i became an american football linebacker. Except from feeling too save with the armor and injuring someone in my very first training session.
I was blessed being there row 1 at the 49 yard line and the energy was just incredible! Highly emotional in the most positive way - all love for the game & for each fan
One of the greatest days in my life, thanks for making it possible NFL to see the GOAT once. I can now happily leave this place knowing I've seen him play. Crowd was electric, we're really showing up today. Fans from all around the world came together to celebrate in peace, we can do so much more if we want to. Go Bucs!
@TheShieldHero show me on this doll where America touched you...... Swear there's always one of you in every comment section who just gotta start with the nonsense.
Didn’t expect seattle Seahawks my team I have grown up with do so well this season I was voting for The Seahawks! But it was a amazing game played well by both teams
@Gus Zverev i never said American fans aren't great. I just said most of the other world has great changes songs and traditions. Also, what's the problem with comparing America with europe. For one, the populations are comparable, and two Europe is much older in age altogether whereas America is a baby, comparatively speaking
@Cruise Control as far as we now, the reason she divorced him was because instead of retiring and actually spending time with his wife and kids when he's 45 and has been in the league for 20+ years, he decides to keep playing, hence in her mind tom prioritises a sports career where he has nothing left to prove to anyone over finally being able to retire and spend time with family. Not to mention it's not like he needs more money when she is also just as if not richer than brady
That was an experience even through a screen. So many beautiful sounds of the human spirit. Thank you Germany. It was my understanding that the NFL invited the entire stadium to stay after the game to watch NFL red zone for the rest of the days games on the jumbotron. Damn that's a big party ..
Hell Yeah it was. What a crazy ending. But trust me the game we got was perfect for us. Whole lot of Seahawks Fans here in germany. And even thou we lost we ruled the Stadium 😇 (t'was about 60:40 in favour of the Hawks)
@T M right at the end of the highlights, they were singing 'oh wie ist das so schoen' - means roughly, 'this is so beautiful/so fantastic, so great.' A German sports crowd will usually sing this at the end of game their team has just won.
almost every college stadium, and majority of NFL stadiums, - minus the country roads singing because most wouldnt even sing that since their not in west virginia.
To be a part of this in the stadium was the most insane experience ever. Still surreal. Thanks to the NFL for coming over. I will never forget this and I will definitely tell my yet to be born grandchild’s about this 😂❤
@Smido83 yeah sorry we don’t burn down our cities and stab each other after our sporting events over in this side of the pond. (Excluding St. Louis and Philly)
With the 17th game added and an unbalanced schedule, there is plenty of opportunity to have every team play an international game every year. Germany deserves more than 1 game per season
@Eric Ruiz Mexico City has had games before. Toronto already had a stretch where the Bills played there once a season. I'm talking places that are so far away it's almost impossible to come see a game. Mexico is close to Houston, Dallas, LA, Arizona. Most of Canada lives fairly close to Seattle, Green Bay, Minnesota, Detroit, Cleveland, Buffalo, Boston, NYC...
Ya know, ya ain't wrong. 8 home games, 8 away games. 1 international game for every team? That would leave 16 games to be spread out across Europe. We know Germany and England show out. Maybe 6 games in England, 6 in Germany and leave the other 4 to test the waters in places like France and Spain?
That is how crowds are in Europe. You Gitta watch Basketball Games in Turkey or greece. That is Something you will never have Seen before. I went to a Couple of us sport Events. And you Just can not compare it to european Fans...
Hawks fan, the crowd inside the arena was incredible! my voice is gone for few days “Country Roads…” i will never forget this day! much respect for TB 12 and his Bucs. Let’s Go Go Hawks, Go NFL, Go 🇺🇸❤ 🇩🇪 Germany that was awesome proud to sing the national anthem together ❤ 🇩🇪
It must have been an experience for a lifetime to be in this crowd. That Country Roads singing in the middle of the gameplay... sports bringing people together. Wholesome, awesome!
Welcome to Europe. This is pretty normal for European stadium crowds. :) Having said that, having a full house for an American football game is a rare occasion for us European NFL fans and that atmosphere just makes it that much more special.
@Corvus 2 not really it was really special for us nfl fans in Germany. It wa sthe best sports experience I had til now. Three million people wanted to get a ticket. So you see we really love the NFL.
@Maximal Subtext Rasenball is a cancer in German sports, a disgrace to the Bundesliga and the worst fan scene in East & West. A pathetic little billionaire toy for people without values - those in Leipzig who love football rather to Lok or BSG Chemie where 2000 Fans are louder than the library where Ratball plays and where you only hear away fans. Your club only exists to promote a drink - which makes you just an extra in a commercial!
@Max King probably you weren't ever in Leipzig in the red bull arena or u simply lie to yourself. There is a culture developing and crowing. But no DDR founded one like everywhere else in Eastern Germany but honest football for Fans. I've been in several leagues after all since 2009 in several stadiums in whole Germany. Rasenball doesn't have to hide. But u haters gonna hate anyway. Sorry for not feeling sorry.
The crowd is amazing, this is what a crowd should be, especially in the USA, having a crowd root for both teams, and the best team that wins, gets a root from all the crowd. They really know how to set an example for all to follow, and they truly Love the American Football Sport. Let alone all their sports in Germany as well.
Very glad that i was able to get tickets and to see my Hawks with my friends live. I watched multiple games at the Allianz Arena, but the atmosphere was very unique. Many fans of different fanbases celebrating together was awesome. Would say Germany is ready for the NFL and Amercian Football. GO HAWKS 💚💙
This is one of the greatest crowds ever for an NFL game! Great job Germany and Munich especially! Tom Brady the GOAT doing GOAT things as usual! Great win! Edit: Thanks so much to everyone for 863 likes and for your replies!
@J J History lesson: England called FIFA Football----Soccer, which was shortened form of Association Football----they shortened it to ASOC then SOCCER. American football, Rugby football and FIFA football were all designated FOOTBALL so America kept it and called FIFA, Soccer. That's why it's called American Football!
@Wert They're not bad at all. But the enthusiasm, meaning the crowd chanting throughout the entire game, is not really seen in NFL stadiums. College football can be very much like this Munich crowd, but that's college and not NFL football. Cheers to all and Danke!
Great game! Bucs and Seahawks put on a show for a very enthusiastic German 🇩🇪 crowd. There were some great plays. Felt like a playoff game thanks to the German crowd.
I don’t usually watch sports games, but the moment I heard that there was a game being played in Germany, I knew I had to see this. That crowd is absolutely amazing!
@Patrick P. Clown... over 90% of all tickets are hold by season ticket holders. The rest goes to fanclubs, if any are left they go to club members (like me, and I didnt get hold of a ticket to the Südtribüne for over a decade) and THEN they would go to the open market for tourists to buy them. In Munich on the other hand around 40% of all tickets go to a "lottery" where everyone can buy them... THATS why there are so many tourists in the Munich stadium compared to Dortmund. Dortmund has 55k season ticket holders and there are nearly no tickets who go to the open market, except the sponsor contingents of course. Just shut up if you know nothing about my club. Or explain how "tourists" get hold of tickets for the Südribüne before I can buy them as a club member. You cant, so stop lying you troll!
Meanwhile, in a small German town with a population of 90.000, at a 3rd Fußball Division match: ar-vids.com/video/%D9%81%D9%8A%D8%AF%D9%8A%D9%88-UEjfd5TVPLY.html
Can we start referring to Mike Evans as one of the greatest WRs of all time? The dude might be the most RELIABLE in history if we’re being perfectly honest. He catches balls with people in his face like none other. I don’t care if he doesn’t have the stats that some others do. The man is a living legend.
I lived in Tampa for around a year and now you came to my actual home country and to my new home town Munich. There was nothing but love to show for the bucs and this event. Thanks to all guys who came over from US taking the long way to visit us and our country (ofc also from other parts of the world). We met a few people from Tampa in the stands yesterday, it felt like back in the days in Florida, just a bit colder ;) We all appreciate yesterday!! Country roads, .... ❤
Awesome crowd in Munich, Germany...the NFL should do more overseas games like this, with the NBA now sucks, it's time for American Football to shine on the World's Sport Stage.
