I'm pretty sure Bad Granny was made in a European country that doesn't speak English. For one thing, the "Main Floor," "First Floor" is how floors are described in Europe (though, I normally hear it called the "Ground Floor"), and also there are a few spelling/translation issues in the game. You didn't need to know this, but hey, the more you know.

In german, there are multiple words for "floor" so it feels even more natural that way. First/ Ground floor = Erdgeschoss 2nd floor = 1. Stock "Erdstock" doesn't exist. So it would be weird to start counting floors at 2

To avoid ads in games, go to your phone settings and remove the permission for the app to use cellular data and then disconnect from Wi-Fi so the app has no way to connect to the internet and load ads. Obviously this can affect the functionality of some apps, but a lot of apps are unaffected aside from not being able to provide ads

I think what we call the “first floor” here in America is the “main floor” in other countries which makes sense causes the main entrance aka the front door is on the first floor. The second floor aka the first floor in the game is the floor is the first floor you go to and see all of the rooms. The creator wasn’t trying to troll- well they were with the game -they’re probably from a different country.

Ok just to put this out there when i lived in Italy i was living on what we would call the Second Floor. However the locals called it the first floor. I was confused when i first went to the location and saw the first floor was an Gelato Shop... My curiosity lead me to learn why this is a thing. Apparently many many long time agos the peasants were Taxed based off how many Floors a house had and then shops were also taxed b/c rich folk want money. So instead of being taxed twice for the same building since most people lived on the second floor and worked on the first. They changed the lables so the "first floor" was the shop and the "second floor" was now just the "first floor" ....kind of like how in america 9 pin bowling was made illegal so people were like lol ok nerds we will just play 10 pin then...

Just a warning about betterhelp: I asked for a trauma therapist (I've since read that that's not necessarily something they help with, even if you can check a box for it) and when I described my issue, the first thing she asked was something along the lines of, "Are you sure it's that big of a deal" and proceeded to send me CBT worksheets. Of course there's bad therapists outside of betterhelp, but I've seen plenty growing up, and they've never victim blamed me lol. Just look out for yourselves, and know therapists aren't always right.

Just gonna echo what a lot of people have already said, it's super common in other countries to refer to the first floor as the ground floor (or main level etc) and the second floor as the first floor. It's pretty confusing, yeah. Especially if you do a lot of business or commuting between countries where it varies. You're inevitably going to end up on the wrong floor at least a few times. It makes sense both ways. The ground level is of course the first level, the one with the first floor so to speak. At the same time, you can also view the second level as the first actual level, since the ground floor is just that, ground. It's a bit like counting starting at 1 vs counting starting at 0. Is the ground floor 1, or is the ground floor 0?

They are without the careful legal restrictions of an actual registered therapist and can therefore share your information (not bound by medical privacy). They also don't have professional trauma therapists despite pretending that they do. It's really dark. I hope Danny sees these comments and reconsiders this sponsorship, so that he doesn't encourage young, unaware, or otherwise vulnerable fans to use this sketchy app.

For anyone who doesn't know, I think the main issue was the fact that therapists or counsellors weren't guaranteed to actually be qualified, and a lot of them just didn't show up or constantly cancelled without reason. I'd recommend watching Pewdiepie's video on it for more detail. I think it's a few years old, but as far as I know, a lot of the problems with it then are the same now.

@Nashin0ki it was a big thing a year maybe 2 years ago. I watch Philip DeFranco and he will now refuse to be sponsored by them because when people looked further into their original terms of service their was a line saying they could not guarantee all their therapists were licensed. I believe better help since changed their TOS to state they are licensed but it left people with a sour taste and lack of faith in BetterHelp I don't trust them just because of that either, it should have never happened and even if they are cracking down and making sure everything is legit now, I stand by it was unacceptable that it was ever the case they allowed unlicensed people to act in a therapy role for anyone.

Idk man, I think Better Help really isn't as bad as people make it out to be, at least not anymore. A different channel that I watch, which is run by a licensed professional therapist who doesn't work for Better Help, stopping taking sponsorships from them for a little while after their fans started saying it was bad, but after looking into it, they put out a statement saying that it was actually a pretty reliable thing and that it had fixed a lot of its old problems, and so they started taking the sponsorships again

Let me just point out something: the floor that is at ground level in a house is called the "ground floor" for virtually most of the world, while the upper floors are numbered from the first and up. It's just an American thing to start numbering the floors from the ground level, as far as I know. This said, I have no clue why the ground floor was called "main floor" here. I'm quite sure it's a direct translation from another language, but I unfortunately don't know which one.

I wasn’t aware of the controversy, but it definitely did not help at a time where I was already being put on waitlists by other therapists that specialized in what I was looking for. I was very specific with my filters with Better Help and I was presented with only 3 matches, all religion based therapists. Like literally the worst thing for me at that time to have faith based therapists given access to my profile, and I almost stopped seeking help altogether after reading “proud mother, Christian, and army wife” from the last profile. No negativity towards any of that, but at the time I literally wanted someone who would not be faith based, a family therapist, or someone with clear bias towards certain US establishments 😂 it was laughable, and luckily my last outreach to a random therapist’s office with very specific “do you or do you not specialize in ____?” ended with me finding the right fit. But god it was like a 2-4 month process!!

Danny doesn’t understand. Bad Granny is possibly one of the greatest games out there today. By subverting your expectations and making you question your morality in the game. There is no good or bad, and this game makes you confront the grey area. As the player you assume that you, as a protagonist, should be the “good guy.” But this game breaks barriers and shows that there is no true good. Just like in real life.
