Name it: POV WITH CLEETUS - TROLL HUNTERS ANONYMOUS EDIT: I live in Delaware...I Drag race all over ,but never circle track racing..They host Firefly Music festival at Dover Downs..Anyway last year I set up the VIP tents for Firefly and had to drive on the track to get to the infield...There was no security at all for the days leading up to the event so I decided to do some laps in my 17 Mustang GT with a supercharged 5.2 Aluminator...Yea, I have the donut on the finish line and burnouts and all on my phone.....I LITERALLY DID IT FOR DALE!...Thought you might find that funny bc they were all yelling " Do it for Dale " on camera while I was driving lol. ..I mean who would think that you could get onto a Nascar track with no security and do that shit with no consequences whatsoever...Blew my mind.
Idea for a FF race: you start with a stock crown Vic and give all the racers two weeks + a $5000 budget to modify their car in any way they choose. They must provide a parts list and be willing to sell the modified car for $5000 + the cost of the crown Vic.
I don't even use the live chat when I watch streams on AR-vids.. Cause it's crazy no matter who's channel I'm on. You do you guys. That's what I'm here for.
IMO the idea of being able to comment your 2 cents on a live streaming video is pretty pointless. It seems to just cause problems lol, and the mfkers using it are the ones that dont even pay attention to the actual videos. Hence why its almost always a snowball of negativity and misinformation.
I’m the same way. I find it really annoying when I’m trying to watch something and most of the screen is taken up by a bunch of idiots talking shit about stuff totally unrelated to waist I’m watching. So I usually click that part off anyway.
I've learned many years ago working with the public sucks everybody finds something to complain about. If you gave everybody at your event a hamburger for free you'd have 70% of the people bitching that you didn't give them cheese. Keep up the good work and I wish you the best.

The "now now now" attitude is definitely something I'm aware of. Considering that you have said that that's the biggest issue it leads me to think that may have something to do with the entire automotive industry heading toward a disposable product model. It's what people expect and want. Not me! I like owning what I buy, being able to repair it and maintaining every feasible part. Like greasing ball joints for example as opposed to just replacing them type thing. Maintenance takes time. Thanks for the response.

I understand what you’re saying but I always say we’re in the “fast food age” everyone wants what they want and they want it NOW Much more obnoxious to deal with than a customer who thinks somethings fishy with my diagnosis or quote. I can at least compare and show hard facts and evidence on that lol
@John Doe Some of what you go through is due to ignorance and bad mechanics though. So many people could easily be upsold on blinker fluid and some will do it. Lol Basically you get someone that is expecting some amount of shadyness that also has no way of really knowing. Then you get the ones who's dad or brother or uncle told them they were scammed ect... One bad apple really does spoil the basket and that works both ways. That's why for me if I'm paying someone to do something I can't do myself I go in trusting. I will verify but I also won't assume the worst.
Learned this as a mechanic Unforeseen issues rise while preforming repairs, you could eat the cost of additional parts and labor in good faith and then they’ll go leave a review online complaining about how long it took, with no context

"Members Only Chat" simple. Even just a couple of dollars is enough barrier to entry to reduce the shenanigans. Turn it into a tie in for merch discount codes for members, members only ppv package incentives, members only contests, members only live event pre-sales. It's an untapped brand identity and monetization market for you with perks for your fans. That also solves your chat problem.

Put this on the main channel. Needs to be said louder for the people in the back. Also member only is a thing for chat. Definitely look into that! That way only big fans who support can say stuff and the mod can manage it better
Yep makes sense. I've been on a few that were channel members only. Scotty Kilmer does that for his live streams probably also because he has 5 million subs. It definitely helps keep things manageable

That's too bad man, especially because in most livestream situations in my experience (all on Twitch basically), the chat is what makes watching the most fun. Although most livestreams I view have less than 1000 viewers, they always have some sort of chat filter and moderators. I would imagine moderating 20k viewers being tough too.
Well that is a bummer, people never cease to amaze me in how disrespectful they can be especially over social media. So I am going to apologize now if this is a dumb idea or doesn't even work this way but can you limit the live chat to your subscribers? Or maybe patreon subscribers. I don't do AR-vids so no idea what control you have. Just sucks to ruin it for those who really enjoy it.

With how awesome the visitors/viewers are live at the track, that almost no trash is being left around at the track and stuff, it's sad to hear that the online visitors/viewers are being so frigging toxic. I'm so sorry you guys have had to deal with these things that were being said in the chat, i wasn't personally there but hearing you mention these things is pretty shocking to hear.
Every time I've watched one of the Freedom Factory's live stream I end up turning the chat off. Between politics, racists and trolls, it's just not worth it. I must have blocked 60 people the first stream I watched. They do have a weird fascination with people being hurt or dying. Great news cutting out the cancer.
Honestly, the first thing I do when watching any live stream on AR-vids is hide the chat. 1. It's ALWAYS a bunch of idiots shit posting, not the OG's and 2. Who honestly has time to watch both the stream and keep up with the chat? Those who are seriously interested and here for the top tier content aren't in the chat anyway. If it needs to be disabled then it is what it is, and truly isn't that big of a deal. Stay positive, and keep it up! We appreciate the incredible FREE content.
Some livestreams have had good chat, Jimmy Broadbents gets a bit crazy but usually good natured. The whole James is dead thing was fucking disgusting though and pissed me off, I closed the chat. Sucks because sometimes I like seeing what people are saying about the event.
Y'all are already stressed enough running the events and trying to keep everyone safe, you don't need that BS. Like I don't know why people want to be that way when given a public platform, but that's why there are so many paid services now and no one wants to do anything for free just to go through all that crap. I just watched the compact race and so my feedback is the camera man is staying zoomed in on the lead car a lot leaving soooo much action out. Like barely saw any of the accidents or the battles for 3rd place, etc. A lot was missed
I love the pay per view shows I guess the only thing I would like to see different is when the announcers see something live and talk about it we don't see it at home happening. I don't if you could do instant replays of crazy things happening live that we could see at home but that would be cool.
I have maybe commented on 2-3 videos ever but watch them all. All I can say is your patience and diplomatic approach is second to none. I can see the frustration but you keep your words calm. Kudos to you sir. By far my favorite channel on AR-vids. 🦅 🇺🇸

For the new PPV’s I’d suggest having the commentators watching and commentating on the actual video that the viewers are watching. In the past I noticed that the commentators were saying stuff about parts of the race that weren’t in view of the PPV stream making it less enjoyable to watch. Keep up the great work!

Hey! You've asked few times about perks that channel members can have.. What about long time members exemple over 12months can have the paidperview free to watch. I think this should grow the channel and have us the opportunity to get what we were advertised for when the main channel intruced the members options. Thank you for shutting up the idiots! Regarding the PPV, you should look into a user selected view, like stationary cams around the track and leader following cams, where the user can choose which cam to follow, via a HUD or something. Keep up the hard work !

Love the live feeds! Sorry about the immature people that created hysteria for their own amusement! Regarding the live streams, I would love to see more information on the screen regarding driver and car. Even knowing the years and models would be cool for a lot of the stuff.
Maybe in the future you'll be able to figure out chat on the site with enough dedicated mods. For now this decision makes sense, I'm just here to watch the show and enjoy. That being said I'm not sure if I missed it or wasn't clear, but will the big event recordings eventually be free to watch a month after, like it is now? Sometimes I can't justify paying for all the events in the year for ppv. But I've always been happy to wait that extra month and watch them here (I guess now on the site) for free. Which is really awesome that you even do that at all. So I'm not sure if that's still a thing, just moved to the site? Because I'd hate to miss like half the events on ppv. I'd understand obviously, but it would be helpful to get some clarity on how this will work now.
Live chats are incredibly important, Great news is they are incredibly simple to run and host yourself. Then you can employ moderators, small fee per month just to chat and be apart of the community will solve 99% of trolling. no one pays to troll (typically) Give some of the door charge to the admin/moderators, you'll create an amazing online community spirit during these events. Self hosted chats can have a myriad of cool features, pols, personalisations, hard links dropped. $2 bucks a month to enjoy live chat, it's a no brainer.. not much to setup, admins / moderators run it. too easy :)
Live chat is full of really toxic people, children trying to be "edgy" and weirdos. Anyone trying to speak is lost within the spam and insanity. You made the right call.
The issue with chat is simplest ; volume. Chat on small channels can be great for the user and for the creator to grow. Channels this size really don't need it nor do the users. Even without the enormous amount of spam communication is impossible. The spammers essentially run everyone else off. That I said, I do sometimes put feedback into the chat because I know some creators use it for that purpose. Of course they need a team sifting through so not all will think it's worth it.
Whenever something great comes along, some people will find a way to ruin it. I guess some people are just naturally toxic.....the past couple of years has made that very evident.
So glad you turned off the chat. I joined the live stream late and I was trying to find out what I missed and I couldn't read anything. People starting bad rumors and panic is so wrong. The chat has been like that for every event so you're making the right call. Between the toxicity and the complaints about a badass show THAT IS FREE has me completely embarrassed for some of these people. It's not just for this channel either, I was watching the last Race Week live feed and the first comments in that chat were talking about how Cleetus hit a deer in Leroy. So dumb.

Anyway, it seems that the real thing that set this off was the trolling about james being in an accident. This really kills the fun of watching a live event, tbh. I would rather watch the highlights only, if there is going to be zero interaction allowed. Chat makes the slow times more tolerable. Oh well.

I think it would be cool to host an Outlaw Figure 8 race at the Freedom Factory. I believe it will not only allow followers of you to get their toes wet in that kind of racing, but it will also get more fans of figure 8 racing! Just an idea and I think it would be awesome to see!
